What players should know
Marathon 2: Durandal takes Bungie's sci-fi shooter to the alien world of Lh'owon. Fight the Pfhor, follow Durandal's trail through terminals, and explore a larger set of environments than the first game. Is this a separate game? Yes. Marathon 2 has its own campaign and downloadable Windows ZIP. The Aleph One release includes the executable and game data, so it does not require Steam or the first Marathon download. Extract it and launch Classic Marathon 2.exe. The cover, gameplay images, and video are from the Classic Marathon 2 presentation by the Aleph One team. For engine bugs or multiplayer help, use the original project links below. License and credits Aleph One engine code is GPLv3. Bungie's original Marathon 2 game data and branding retain separate copyright and are provided for free play with permission. The source-code license does not make every texture or sound GPL.
