What players should know
Avara began as a 1996 Macintosh arena game built around remote-controlled walking mechs. Players can view combat from the cockpit or a controllable drone, fire lasers and missiles, and explore solo scenarios or network battles. The Avaraline project has ported the original game to Windows with SDL2 and OpenGL. This listing links its direct Windows alpha ZIP, not an unrelated commercial release. The title image and original-game screenshots come from the LaunchBox Games Database; the embedded multiplayer video is linked by the port developers. As an alpha of a retro game, it may have compatibility or network limitations. License and credits The Avaraline repository identifies the port and original game as MIT-licensed, with separate notices for bundled third-party libraries. The LaunchBox title and gameplay images are credited to its contributors. NeonRoof links the official Windows release unchanged. Downloads come directly from the original project. NeonRoof does not host or repackage the game files. Independent catalog listing. NeonRoof is not affiliated with or endorsed by this project's developers. Downloads are provided by the project's official distribution source.
