Software catalog trust

Software licensing and catalog policy

NeonRoof software listings should identify what a program is, who develops it, where its official project lives, which version is described, how it is licensed, and where an authorized download comes from.

Official sources and distribution

NeonRoof prefers official project websites, publisher-controlled repositories, and documented release sources. A catalog entry must not imply that NeonRoof created, owns, sponsors, or is endorsed by an independent project unless that relationship is real and disclosed.

An account is required for software downloads. The NeonRoof Windows Platform is optional for software.

Licenses and attribution

Open-source and freeware listings should show the license name and link to the applicable license or project documentation when available. Proprietary software requires developer authority or an authorized distribution source. Artwork, names, and trademarks remain subject to their owners' rights.

Versions, compatibility, and security

Version, operating-system, architecture, package, and installation statements should come from the release being listed. NeonRoof may block or remove a download when its source, integrity, rights, or safety cannot be reasonably verified.

Corrections and removal

Developers and rights holders may report incorrect attribution, an obsolete link, a licensing concern, impersonation, or an unauthorized distribution. NeonRoof may correct, suspend, or remove the listing while reviewing the report.

What a listing means

Unless a page expressly says otherwise, a third-party software listing is an independent catalog entry. NeonRoof is not affiliated with or endorsed by that project's developers. Downloads are provided only through a developer-authorized, official, or otherwise permitted distribution source identified on the listing.
