Bugdom Reviews

Reviewing Bugdom

Bugdom turns a garden-sized world into a third-person adventure. Guide Rollie McFly through oversized plants, hostile insects and environmental obstacles while rescuing captive ladybugs. Its shifting terrain and creature encounters make exploration part of the challenge. This listing covers the original Bugdom from 1999, rather than Bugdom 2. Which Bugdom download is this? This listing links directly to version 1.3.4 of Iliyas Jorio’s maintained Windows x64 port. Pangea Software granted permission for the source-port release. The original Macintosh game and this modern desktop build have different system requirements. How do I install Bugdom on Windows? Extract the entire Bugdom-1.3.4-windows-x64.zip archive into a folder, keep the bundled Data folder and libraries together, and run Bugdom.exe. This is a complete Windows x64 game package; an original Macintosh disc or emulator is not required. Is Bugdom free? Yes, the linked port is available free from its official project release. Its CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 terms include noncommercial restrictions; availability of source code does not make this a commercially unrestricted game or authorize paid resale. Can I play with friends? Single-player. Does it run on Linux or macOS? The maintained project also publishes Linux and macOS packages. The download offered on this NeonRoof page is the Windows x64 package; choose another operating system on the project release page. Credits and support Original game by Pangea Software and the artists, musicians and developers credited in its included documentation. Desktop port by Iliyas Jorio. Screenshots and cover are from the port’s official project page. NeonRoof provides an independent catalog listing and links to the original upstream file.
