GearHead 2 takes its mecha role-playing into a later chapter of the GearHead setting. Create a pilot, find equipment that suits your approach, and take on encounters where your character's abilities and your machine's design both matter. Its graphical interface keeps the series' detailed systems and old-school approach to exploration. Do I need the first GearHead? No. GearHead 2 is a separate game with its own executable and data.
