Tux Football Reviews

Reviewing Tux Football

Tux Football brings a quick, top-down approach to football. Control the player nearest the ball, send a pass, take a shot and adjust its direction with aftertouch. Its retro pitch and short route into a match suit players who prefer an arcade contest to a detailed management simulation. Is it like Rocket League? For Rocket League fans, the connection is the timing of a pass or shot and the pursuit of a goal. Tux Football uses human players on a 2D pitch. It is not a car-soccer game. Which edition is this? The official Windows installer is version 0.3.1 from 2012. SourceForge marks the project abandoned. Modern Windows compatibility has not been tested by NeonRoof. How do I install Tux Football? Run tuxfootball-0.3.1.exe and follow the original installer. Use the game menu to choose a match and review controls. Is it free? The linked Windows release is free. This independent catalog listing sends downloads to the original project host. The project and bundled component licenses still apply. Can I play this version on Android or in my browser? This listing is a native Windows download, not an Android APK or a browser game.
