About HandBrake

HandBrake is a free, open-source video transcoder maintained by the HandBrake Team. It converts video from a wide range of source formats into common containers and codecs for playback, sharing, archiving, or use on specific devices.

The graphical application and command-line edition provide presets, chapter and subtitle controls, filters, quality and bitrate settings, hardware encoding on supported systems, and a queue for batch work. Official releases are available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

HandBrake explicitly warns that only handbrake.fr, its official GitHub organization, and Flathub are official download locations. NeonRoof does not mirror this binary and sends users to the official source while the catalog release remains under review.
