About

About HaxeFlixel

HaxeFlixel is a free, open-source 2D game engine powered by Haxe and OpenFL. Its APIs cover sprites, animation, cameras, tile maps, input, sound, particles, paths, tweens, collisions, user interfaces, save data, and built-in debugging tools.

Haxe can compile projects to several native and web targets, giving developers a shared codebase for desktop, mobile, and browser games where supported by the selected OpenFL toolchain. Official demos and templates help teams learn the framework and test systems before committing them to a larger project.

HaxeFlixel uses the MIT license. The OpenFL and Lime stack, add-ons, extensions, platform SDKs, and project assets can have separate terms and should be reviewed before distribution.
