About KeePass

KeePass is a free, open-source password manager developed by Dominik Reichl. It stores credentials and secure notes in an encrypted database that the user controls, protected by a master password, key file, Windows account, or a configured combination.

Password generation, groups and search, auto-type, one-time-password support, import and export tools, synchronization options, and a plugin ecosystem help users manage many unique credentials without relying on a hosted vault. The official project offers Windows installers and portable packages, with Mono support for additional systems.

KeePass publishes hashes, OpenPGP signatures, and source packages. NeonRoof records those official verification channels and avoids using the separately protected KeePass identity in custom artwork.

Independent catalog listing. NeonRoof is not affiliated with or endorsed by Dominik Reichl or the project's maintainers. The official project, creator, copyright holder, and license remain clearly credited. This catalog page may be published before a downloadable package is approved; no NeonRoof download is enabled until an administrator verifies the exact package, SHA-256 hash, malware scan, distribution rights, and applicable notices.

Rights review recorded September 8, 2026. Copyright: Dominik Reichl. Redistribution: Follow GPLv2-or-later and preserve notices. Use a package whose official hash and signature have been verified. Attribution: Credit KeePass and Dominik Reichl and retain the GPL and component acknowledgements. Source obligations: Provide corresponding source for the exact GPL-covered binary distributed. Branding: The official site restricts confusing uses of the KeePass name. Neutral NeonRoof artwork and explicit independent-listing language are used.
