About LÖVE

LÖVE, commonly called Love2D, is a free, open-source framework for creating 2D games in Lua. It offers a compact programming model for drawing sprites and shapes, playing audio, reading input, using physics, loading assets, managing files, and building custom game loops.

Its small runtime and approachable examples make it useful for game jams, prototypes, programming education, pixel-art games, and developers who prefer a code-first workflow. Official packages are available for Windows and macOS, with Linux, Android, and iOS options documented by the project.

The zlib/libpng license permits commercial use without engine royalties. NeonRoof points to official downloads and documentation and does not bundle third-party game code or assets with the framework listing.

Independent catalog listing. NeonRoof is not affiliated with or endorsed by LÖVE Development Team or the project's maintainers. The official project, creator, copyright holder, and license remain clearly credited. This catalog page may be published before a downloadable package is approved; no NeonRoof download is enabled until an administrator verifies the exact package, SHA-256 hash, malware scan, distribution rights, and applicable notices.
