About OpenShot

OpenShot is a free, open-source video editor created by Jonathan Thomas. Its timeline-based workspace is designed to help new editors assemble clips, audio, images, titles, and transitions without hiding more advanced animation and compositing controls.

The application supports unlimited tracks, keyframe animation, time effects, audio waveforms, title creation, and integration with technologies such as FFmpeg and Blender. OpenShot 4 adds recording and color-focused workflow improvements while retaining builds for Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS through Linux support.

OpenShot's official site states that the program may be redistributed under GPLv3 or later. NeonRoof has not mirrored a package and routes package approval through its software review workflow.
