About PeaZip

PeaZip is a free, open-source archive manager created by Giorgio Tani. It provides a visual file manager for opening more than 200 archive types and for creating formats such as 7Z, ZIP, TAR, Zstandard, and Pea.

Beyond compression and extraction, PeaZip can encrypt archives, calculate checksums, split and join files, find duplicates, and securely delete selected data. Installable and portable packages make it practical on shared systems or removable drives, with builds available for Windows, Linux, macOS, and BSD variants.

The official project explicitly permits free distribution under LGPLv3 and publishes package hashes. NeonRoof still requires a specific package and integrity review before enabling its own download.
