About Solar2D

Solar2D is a free, open-source framework for building cross-platform 2D games and applications with Lua. Its simulator provides a fast edit-and-refresh workflow, while the runtime includes graphics, audio, physics, networking, input, files, widgets, and platform services.

Developers can target Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, HTML5, connected televisions, and other supported platforms. A plugin ecosystem and native integrations give teams room to connect platform services or extend the engine when a project requires more than the core APIs.

Solar2D is released under the MIT license. Individual plugins, platform SDKs, store services, and bundled dependencies may have separate terms and must be reviewed for each shipping target.
