Twine
Map choices, write branching dialogue, and publish interactive stories with an open-source editor.
About Twine
Twine is a visual writing tool for interactive, nonlinear stories. Passages and links let a developer test branching dialogue, quest choices, tutorials, or a complete browser-based narrative game without writing code first. Story formats add more advanced variables and logic when the project needs them. Twine publishes stories to HTML; bringing that output or workflow into another game engine takes additional development.
The linked Windows installer is from the official Twine release. You can also use Twine in a browser or choose another desktop platform on the project website.
