OpenLieroX is a free real-time 2D action game inspired by Liero and the improvisational terrain combat of Worms. Players choose weapons, use a ninja rope for advanced movement, and fight across destructible maps in deathmatch, team, capture-the-flag, and modded modes. The project includes bots, LAN and online play, extensive community maps and weapon packs, customizable characters, and a built-in level editor. Code license: zlib license with bundled component-specific notices. Media/package license: Developer-hosted promotional images; separate blanket reuse license not asserted. Attribution and distribution: OpenLieroX is maintained by its open-source community and builds on Liero Xtreme, originally released by Jason Boettcher under the zlib license.
